The Jersey Branch of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) has officially launched the ICSA Jersey Awards 2012 and nominations are now invited.

Following the successful creation in 2011 of the first-ever Graduation Ceremony for ICSA Graduates to be held in Jersey, the ICSA Jersey Council has announced the introduction of the ICSA Jersey Awards to celebrate the professional achievement of its members.

The Awards, comprising ‘The ICSA Jersey Company Secretary of the Year Award’; ‘The ICSA Jersey Administrator of the Year Award’; and ‘The One to Watch’, will be judged by a panel of professionals, including Lindsay Walton of RBC; Louise Dods, Rawlinson & Hunter; David Rees, Co-operative Society; Mason Birbeck, Bedell Group; Tim Cartwright, Hawksford; and Tania Angell, ICSA Jersey Chairman.

The Awards are open to all Jersey-based ICSA members at any level, working for private, public and not-for-profit organisations; and the Judges will accept nominations for both individuals and teams. Nominations may be self-nominated; or submitted by colleagues, line managers, clients or by a nominee’s Board of Directors.

The deadline for entries for the new Awards is Friday, 3rd February 2012; and the short-listed nominations will be announced mid February. The names of the winners will be revealed at the ICSA Jersey Gala Dinner & Graduation Ceremony in March.

“We are looking forward very much to recognising the professional achievements of our members and the valued impact they have in Jersey’s industry, whilst also celebrating the professional qualifications achieved by the ICSA Jersey graduates in 2011” said ICSA Jersey Branch Chairman, Tania Angell.

The black tie Gala Dinner, Graduation and ICSA Jersey Awards Ceremony has attracted keen interest from a number of sponsoring organisations, including long-term supporters, CCV Jersey, BPP Professional Education and The Basel Group. And, for the first time in 2012, Law At Work in conjunction with Alexander Forbes Offshore will become ICSA Jersey sponsors, together they will be sponsoring the Guest Speaker, the Rt. Hon. Michael Portillo.

The celebratory event is open to ICSA members and non-members, and will be held at the Hotel de France on Friday, 16th March 2012.
