Immediate Impact is led by Beverley Le Cuirot, who has 30 years’ experience of Marketing, New Business Development and Customer Service, working primarily with international organisations. During the last 17 years, she has been directly responsible for Marketing and New Business Development in the Financial Services Industry, initially for a large international bank, then for the Industry as a whole via Jersey Finance.
Beverley is the Immediate-Past Chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Branch in Jersey, a post she held from 2005 to January 2009, and now serves as Chairman for Young Enterprise in Jersey. She is a Chartered Marketer, and Fellow of the CIM, the Institute of Direct Marketing, and the Chartered Management Institute.
In April 2008, Beverley drew on all of her prior experience to establish Immediate Impact, a Business and Marketing consultancy designed to help businesses of all sizes meet their marketing requirements. Prior to this, Beverley was Director of Marketing at Jersey Finance, where she spent six years successfully raising awareness of Jersey as a finance centre with key global finance and legal professional audiences.
Before Jersey Finance, she spent ten years as a Senior Manager/Director of Standard Chartered Bank, and the first 14 years of her career working in London for the top international advertising and marketing agency groups, including Ogilvy & Mather and Y&R.
Now at the helm of the growing Immediate Impact Network, Beverley is available to work with a Board of Directors or the Sole Proprietor to review their business operations and to bring her expertise to bear. This might include Transition Management, Non-Executive Directorships, or working with in-house or outsourced Marketing teams and agencies to maximise the effectiveness of their strategies.

Ruth Martin joined Immediate Impact in 2009 as a Consultant on a temporary basis, having worked together with Beverley at Standard Chartered Bank Jersey for ten years from 1992 to 2002. During this time they were both involved with Project Bergerac, involving a major transfer of the Bank’s business from London to Jersey.
At the time, Beverley was the Director of Marketing and Ruth the Senior Manager, New Business Sales. Beverley held full responsibility for the project, reporting to the Managing Director, Chris Dickinson, and she re-located to London on a temporary basis to manage the transfer. Ruth became the support project manager in Jersey and held responsibility for the streamlined receipt of the accounts into the Jersey business.
The whole strategic aim was delivered within the required (in-house) budget and timescales.
Beverley Le Cuirot also subsequently held responsibility in her role as Head of HR & Training for the integration of 550 staff in Jersey, London and Geneva following the merger with Grindlays Bank. Ruth Martin meantime held responsibility in her role as Regional Manager, Asia Pacific Region (APR) for the integration of client accounts in her region.
Both have since been responsible for a number of projects; Ruth whilst employed at Standard Chartered; and Beverley both in her role at Standard Chartered, where she held responsibility for the Implementation of the £1m Marketing Plan and at Jersey Finance, where as Director of Marketing she held responsibility for the Implementation of international and local projects as part of the £550k Marketing Plan.

Demonstrating the values Immediate Impact aims to promote, Beverley invested in Jersey’s future by employing two local students for the summer months of 2008. They have both since been back again over the Christmas and Summer holiday periods.
The first, Holly Sheldrake, achieved her Secondary PGCE teaching qualification in History at the University of Chichester and returned to the Island in 2009 to take up a permanent role at Le Quennevais School. She has worked for Beverley in several capacities during her holiday periods and has found her marketing experience enthralling and highly enjoyable. “Working with Beverley has always spurred my creativity whilst simultaneously honing my professional skills,” said Holly during her last stay.
The second, Danielle Le Cuirot, graduated in Popular Music at Leeds College of Music and has since decided to stay on permanently in Yorkshire. She said “I know that Beverley appreciates the work we do for her and the experience we gain is invaluable to our careers. What I love about Immediate Impact is the level of creativity we have established as a team, and how our ideas are embraced and appreciated.”
During their time at Immediate Impact, Holly and Danielle have been working together on several projects. One of the features of the Immediate Impact was it Resource Centre, comprising over 1,000 business books, and available for its Members to borrow on a regular basis. “It took a lot of time and effort,” said Danielle. “Like having a business within a business. Not only have we needed to research many different types of Library software, we’ve also had to look into professional fulfilment so we can get the books to our Members and back again in an efficient way.” Beverley has since moved her unique collection of business books to the Jersey International Business School and is delighted to see her pride and joy - painstakingly collected over the last 20 years - being used by the Business School visitors, just in the way she always hoped it might be!
Additionally, Holly spent time liaising with Jersey Cheshire Home in order to create a dynamic and inspiring website to attract increased interest for the charity. "This project has been enjoyable throughout, the creativity required really delves into my artistic nature but equally working with the Home has broadened my understanding of the need for wider community-led support."
Holly has now not only graduated but has completed her Teacher Training and has secured a full-time position as History Teacher at Le Quennevais School starting in September 2009. Danielle has also graduated this year and has chosen to embark upon her Music & Dance career in Leeds.
We wish them both well on their way - they have certainly been most helpful to Immediate Impact!
