Rebel with a Cause? Give to the Charity or Community Group of Your Choice - Without Spending One Single Penny Extra!

You don't have to be a Rebel, but if you have a Cause you would like to support, you can do so when you are shopping or booking travel, hotels, car hire and ferries online - without it costing you one penny more!

Too good to be true? - that's what we thought ... but it's for real - a Community Website which donates a massive 80% of the commission received for the relevant online purchases and bookings to the charity or not for profit group of your choice.

With so many of us travelling on business and pleasure to and from Jersey every day, just think of all the local causes we could support. All we have to do is to remember to book online travel and retail via the GOandDONATE.com website. It's as easy as that.

And the more we do this, the more we can raise collectively for local charities, churches, youth groups, schools, you name it, it can be a beneficiary, as long as it is based in Jersey and not for profit.

Friends and relatives overseas can also help to support Jersey through GOandDONATE.com - just make sure they are logged onto the Jersey page which is identified through the Jersey flag.

The site has hundreds of airlines, hotels, package holidays and ferries available - if you cannot find the one you want, then a tip is to go via the Expedia; E-Bookers; or lastminute.com links. We recently booked a flight to Dubai with British Airways, via Expedia and succeeded in donating to the Jersey Cheshire Home at the same time! We're going to support Young Enterprise next time!

GOandDONATE.com is continually adding retailers to the site - they have recently added the option to shop online for electronics, fashion, health & beauty, entertainment, toys & games, gifts, and many other High Street favourites - so if you are already in the habit of shopping online, you can do so now AND donate to your favourite good cause.

And the more people using the site, the more can be raised for local causes. For example, the following daily booking averages would result in annual donations as follows:

10 x £300 Ferry bookings - over £35,000; 50 x £165 Flight bookings - over £30,000; 10 x £100 Hire Car bookings - over £18,000; 10 x £100 Hotel bookings - over £22,000; 10 x £60 Travel Insurance Policies - over £19,000; and 5 x £500 Package Holiday bookings - over £32,000.
