SATOR Regulatory Consulting Limited is a Jersey based company wholly owned by Helen Hatton, the former Deputy Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC).
In her new role, Mrs Hatton works with international standard setting bodies, such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF); with regulatory authorities in other jurisdictions; and with selected financial services businesses, mainly in Jersey.
SATOR, in alliance with one of the world’s leading e-learning solutions providers, offers a comprehensive suite of e-learning courses for financial services institutions. The courses cover a range of highly relevant topics including risk management, anti money laundering (AML/CFT), Islamic Finance and Compliance subjects. The platform, proven internationally with over 60 institutions including the World Bank, HSBC and AUSTRAC, provides a training product ideal for international standard setters, commercial institutions and regulatory authorities.
This cost efficient medium ensures staff are developed, giving firms a distinct advantage in meeting regulatory, risk management and staff training requirements. An exciting product, new to the Channel Islands, that delivers core skills training economically, and allows more expensive face to face training methods to be used for important case study and team exercises.
The platform incorporates on line testing and sends results to learner and employer enabling Management to demonstrate which staff have been trained and when refresher training is due. These straightforward and practical features ensure compliance with the requirement to evidence AML/CFT training specific to the roles being undertaken. Where a learner fails a module, different material is presented until the subject is mastered and a pass achieved.
SATOR also offers bespoke training modules e.g. AML training for the DNFBP/NPO sectors (i.e. Lawyers, Accountants, Real Estate Agents, Jewellers and Not for Profit Organisations) together with other e-learning training and testing vehicles aligned to the institution’s own procedures manual and development needs.
A 'Demo' is available on the SATOR website, showing the first part of the ‘AML Basics’ course to see how the training works. For further information please see the SATOR website at www.sator.je or contact Neil Haworth directly at n.haworth@sator.je
Acorn used the SATOR Knowledge Platform for the first time in 2010 to deliver the computer based element of its anti-money laundering training for its entire Group. Steve Ryan, Director of Acorn said: "The package was extremely user friendly, and easy to navigate. What can be a dull subject was delivered in a vibrant and refreshingly interactive format. The option to choose different training modules designed for employees in different roles was a distinct benefit to an organisation like ours”.
